The Nyakahoja Dispensary is located at Balewa Road on premises owned by the Nyakahjoja Parish. The dispensary was established in June 1994. It was established by the Nyakahoja Parish Council to address the needs of the parishioners of Nyakahoja Parish and to offer quality medical services to the surrounding community at large.
The medical service provision of the dispensary is service-oriented. Usually, charges for services are minimal and affordable. The dispensary refers emergency and specialized cases to surrounding medical facilities, most commonly Bugando Medical Center (BMC) Referral Hospital and Sekouture Hospital
The philosophy of the Nyakahoja Dispensary is drawn form Gospel values. The Sisters and Staff are committed to bringing healing, hope, comfort, and light to the sick, aged, and needy. The Sisters and staff at Nyakahoja dispensary uphold the dignity of each human person in need irrespective of age, race, creed, national origin, or status. They strive to instruct and bring awareness to prevent sin through ignorance. The Canossian Sisters, in the spirit of their foundress, St. Magdalene of Canossa, dedicate themselves to make Christ known and loved by the witnesses of their humble service and evangelical charity.
